What you need to understand about microwaving

The generated heat penetrates your food to cause evaporation of water molecules, these molecules comes out as steam.
Your food becomes detasteful, dry and cruchy/brittle when all the water evaporates from it. But to get that fresh sizzling and steaming look and aroma you'll need to preserve the water from getting out.

To do this you need to microwave the food in a covered container or if that's not feasible place a cup/container of water within the microwave compartment alongside the food. This increases the compartment humidity thereby retaining the food own original moist.
