Their are those who have had the agonizing ordeal of cooking beans for hours. One often wonder what the beans is made of. There are different types of beans, however you want to cook it will be dependent on the amount of time you're ready to spare in the process.
Reducing cooking time is simple, all you need to do is to reduce boiling point. One sure way of doing that is by increasing temperature with impurities.
Yes, impurities. These are elements/particles that is not a normal constituent of water.
When you put impurities in water and place over heat, temperature builds up very fast hence reducing boiling point.
Many objects and particles have been implicated in this process, they are:
1. Salt- normal cooking salt
2. Potash (Akanwa/Kaun)
